Not only is International Drag Day coming up, but the queer community is also celebrating the win of Nymphia Wind on season 16 of RuPaul’s Drag Race—the first time an Asian contestant takes the crown, which has made a lot of Asians proud with this victory!
In celebration of this accomplishment, Maggie Choo’s is hosting the 711 Degrees: Glitz, Glam, and Heat party on Thursday, 11 July. For the occasion, the bar and cabaret venue has invited six drag queens to perform during a one-hour theatre performance. Hannah, Tiffany, Yugee, Cummela, Victoria, and Draggy will all perform in their unique styles. Guests can stay and enjoy the club afterwards, dancing to the beats of guest performer DJ Kai. Doors will open at 8 pm, and the show will start once everyone’s arrived so be on time!
Born and raised in the French countryside, Lily arrived in Hong Kong looking for an adventure. Passionate about books, she spent some time in Parisian publishing houses and is the author of an illustrated book about hair. Life in Hong Kong for her entails looking for seaside places to eat and a lot of hiking.
