While most of the members of Korean boy band BTS are currently enlisted in the military, its animal-counterparts BT21 are touring the world! BT21’s first “BT21 Magic Recipe: A Taste Of Love” campaign began on 11 July at Citygate Outlets, as Hong Kong was given the privilege of raising the curtains on the project ahead of other destinations.
ARMYs (the BTS fanbase) and Unistars (the BT21 fanbase) in Hong Kong now have the chance to meet RJ, Koya, Shooky, Mang, Chimmy, Tata, and Cooky and see them flaunting a new style before the rest of the world does. The new looks can be seen throughout seven themed zones, including “BT21 Wondrous Flying Suitcase,” “BT21 Gateway to Magic,” “BT21 Mysterious Glass House,” “BT21 Giant Potion Pot,” “BT21 Mali-hom Magic Mansion,” “BT21 Magic Bistro,” and the “BT21 Magic Tarot Corridor.”
While you’re busy snapping pics of BT21s, don’t forget to participate in the interactive digital game “The Magic Snapshot” and craft your own magical healing drink to win a fabulous gift.
Of course, the release of new BT21 styles means new merchandise for ARMYs to collect! Make sure to visit the BT21 Magic Recipe pop-up store to get your hands on the world’s first release of BT21 Magic Recipe merchandise, Hong Kong’s debut of BT21 2024 goodies, as well as the first-ever BT21 x Papery collaboration—a sustainable lifestyle collection that you won’t want to miss. The collection boasts 300 items, and will be released in waves, so don’t hesitate to make multiple visits to the pop-up store to check them out!
Aside from the public attractions in Citygate Outlets, you can also find BT21 at various food outlets! The popular Korean restaurant Banchan and Cook and Taiwanese dessert shop Meet Fresh have curated special menus for the occasion, which include omurice with fried cheese pork cutlet and chocolate cake roll with croffle from Banchan and Cook, plus visually stunning desserts such as the Magical Starry butterfly pea shaved ice and the Starry Strawberry smoothie from Meet Fresh.
For those who can't make it to Citygate Outlets, a BT21 Magic Recipe-themed truck will travel to designated spots around town on 8 October to surprise Unistars in Hong Kong, so keep an eye out for a chance to take photos with some of the characters! Click here for more details.
