Hong Kong’s famous outdoor music and arts festival Clockenflap is set to return with a bang this year as the organisers have unveiled the first wave of acts for the highly anticipated 2024 edition. Taking place from 29 November to 1 December, the festival is gearing up to deliver three days of world-class entertainment for music fans across the city.
Leading the charge is none other than maverick rock icon Jack White, who will be making his long-awaited Hong Kong debut as the Sunday night headliner. Fresh off the release of his critically acclaimed sixth solo album No Name, the former frontman of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather is poised to bring the festival to a triumphant conclusion with his electrifying performance.
Joining the line-up as Friday night headliners are the French electronic duo Air. Fresh off their show-stopping performance at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, the duo will be treating Clockenflap attendees to a mesmerising live rendition of their seminal 1998 debut album Moon Safari.
Also gracing the Clockenflap stage this year is the ever-evolving and boundary-pushing US singer-songwriter St Vincent, who will be showcasing her impeccable discography, including tracks from her latest album All Born Screaming. Rounding out the Sunday night line-up is British DJ and producer Jamie XX of the acclaimed indie act The XX.
Other notable acts set to perform include Canadian indie rockers Mother Mother, Japanese-Australian band Last Dinosaurs, and a diverse array of talent from across the Asia-Pacific region, including Taiwanese acts Deca Joins and Gigantic Roar, as well as Thai singer-songwriter Violette Wautier and South Korean guitarist Memi.
Tickets for Clockenflap 2024 will go on general sale on 27 September, with Hang Seng credit card holders able to secure their passes three days earlier on 24 September. Those hoping to grab passes are advised to act fast, as the festival has a history of selling out quickly. For more information and the complete line-up announcement. Stay tuned here.
