Hong Kong Art Gallery Association presents: “Unscheduled” art fair

Established by the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association (HKAGA) during and as a response to the rise of COVID-19 in 2020, “Unscheduled” is neither a traditional art fair nor a museum exhibition, but a platform for selling and networking for local galleries. After last year’s successful debut, the return of the event will present solo exhibitions from 15 HKAGA gallery members, highlighting works that respond to the fair‘s location at the former Topshop as a past fashion retail centre.

With nine returning galleries, the second edition of “Unscheduled” will present solo exhibitions by the participating member affiliates, highlighting special projects blending the ideals and aesthetics of art and fashion. Hong Kong-based curators Jing Chin-Yin Chong and Clara Wong have crafted an interconnected experience for visitors beyond the standard art fair, creating a déjà vu like experience from fragments of our cityscape.

This year‘s fair is sponsored by Hublot, the Swiss luxury watchmaker founded in 1980. Recognized as a leading luxury name and avid supporter of the arts in the region, Hublot will showcase a range of special watches that complement pieces from their collection by Orlinski, Marc Ferrero, and Lang Lang and Sang Bleu that will be on display in a distinctive VIP Lounge section for the fair.

“Unscheduled” is supported by Payment Asia, as Digital Payment Partner, Crown Fine Art as Logistics Partner. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be distributed back to the participating galleries and also donated to a local charity to support the relief efforts of those most affected by COVID-19.
