For one night only, your friendly neighbourhood izakaya in Sai Ying Pun, Okra, is hosting a wine event in collaboration with Cork Culture. Chef Max Levy has always held the firm belief that sake is the only partner for his izakaya’s famed small plates and sashimi, but because “mad times call for mad wines,” Okra will partner with Cork Culture to pair a compelling range of varietals with small plates from 6pm till late this Saturday.
For $450, guests are invited to enjoy two hand-selected wines to sip alongside four flavourful tapas. The food available will include Onsen Tamago with XO sauce and Nori Crisp, Sabazushi with Pickled Wo Sun and Crispy Nori, and more. Wine lovers will be pleased to know there will be an ‘oddball’ collection of wines at exceptional value. Cork Culture classics are also available by the glass on the ground floor; expect natural, biodynamic, and organic wines that are exciting on the palate.
There is only limited seating available, and the event is reservation-only, so click here to book. Walk-in guests can enjoy wines by the glass subject to standing capacity and availability.
