The upcoming FringeYouth Festival, organised and hosted by the iconic Fringe Club in Central, is putting young artists and creatives in the limelight. From 16 to 21 July, children and adults are welcome to attend dozens of diverse performances and workshops on the FringeYouth Festival programme.
This first edition of the festival empowers curiosity and imagination. Among the many activities listed on the full schedule, all have a focus or an interest in supporting youth, sustainability, and multiculturality.
From a musical theatre performing Disney and Broadway songs to an intro to rock band, puppet shows, DJing workshops, a jazz funk and hip hop dance class, talks on musical parenting, improv workshops, animal-inspired yoga, baby Mozart concerts, two family dance parties, a Shakespearean murder mystery, a Taylor Swift-inspired dance class, junior detective mysteries, and even a cabaret—we are spoilt for choice.
Individual tickets have to be purchased for each event. You can get yours here. Events will happen throughout four venues of the Fringe Club: the Fringe Dairy, the Fringe Underground, the Jockey Club Studio Theatre, and the Anita Chan Lai-ling gallery.
Born and raised in the French countryside, Lily arrived in Hong Kong looking for an adventure. Passionate about books, she spent some time in Parisian publishing houses and is the author of an illustrated book about hair. Life in Hong Kong for her entails looking for seaside places to eat and a lot of hiking.
