Gentle Books, the sister venture of the This is Gentle vintage shop, is an online English-language second-hand bookshop and social enterprise, dedicated to giving used books a second life. The online shop encompasses a substantial number of books covering classic literature and topics such as business, economics, and much more.
For those who like to put hand to paper before they purchase, Gentle Books is hosting its next monthly pop-up at Common Ground, a café in Central, from 10 am till 5 pm. A selection of around 200 fiction and non-fiction books will be on sale, starting at just $20. You can also pre-order a book from the website and pick it up at the pop-up.
What’s more, 20 percent of all proceeds are donated to EmpowerU, an NGO that provides support for youths of ethnic minorities. You’re getting books at a cheaper price, and helping a good cause, too! Admission is free, and there is no need to register in advance.
