From 8 to 12 November, the ninth edition of India by the Bay returns to Hong Kong for a week-long celebration of Indian arts, culture, and heritage. Co-presented by the Asia Society Hong Kong Center and Teamwork Arts, the festival will bring forth a wonderful curation of music, dance, literature, wellness, fashion, and food, channelling the soul of India.
Following this year’s theme—“Connecting Through The Arts”—India by the Bay will rally Bollywood stars, award-winning authors, and wellness experts to explore art as a powerful conduit for connection. This fantastic line-up includes bestselling historian William Dalrymple, yoga centre director George Dovas, Indian pop icon Usha Uthup, and more.
Expect thought-provoking conversations, holistic wellness sessions, and mesmerising cultural performances that showcase authentic Indian traditions. Meanwhile, the gala dinner presents reinterpreted Indian flavours along with a fashion showcase, starring chef Ashish Bhasin and Raw Mango designs by designer Sanjay Garg. Participants can also enjoy cross-cultural music and dances with Indian musicians, dancers, and Cantonese opera performers.
A major festival highlight is “Words on Water,” the first-ever collaboration with the Hong Kong International Literary Festival to connect acclaimed authors and storytellers worldwide with Hong Kong through three literary sessions. Explore the works of Aarathi Prasad, John Zubrzycki, and Vikas Swarup in the company of industry professionals.

Fuelled by tea and oat milk, Stella is on a mission to discover the best cafés and teahouses for weekend lounging. This also entails the side quest for camera angle exploration on foodie pics. Other times, you will find her binge-watching video essays on YouTube, having private concerts in the shower, or experimenting with vocals on her microphone.
