Get ready for an exciting weekend as the Korean Cultural Centre in Hong Kong presents Korea Square 2024, happening on 5 and 6 October from 11 am to 8 pm at the PMQ Courtyard and Marketplace. A celebration of Korean culture, this festival offers a mix of activities, workshops, and performances that promise to engage families, friends, and culture enthusiasts alike.
At the Playground, immerse yourself in Korean culture by trying on a traditional hanbok, participating in classic Korean games, and even learning to write your name in Korean. The Korea Tourism Organisation will set up a free photo booth, allowing visitors to capture their memories, along with a travel booth to help plan future adventures in Korea. Plus, be on the lookout for two mystery Korean celebrity figures from Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, marking the start of a collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre.
The Showground is packed with thrilling events. One of the highlights is the International Space-Out Competition, where participants aim to maintain their calm in a fast-paced environment. Martial-arts enthusiasts can enjoy taekwondo performances throughout the weekend, while music lovers will delight in a K-pop community performance featuring local talents. Test your knowledge of Korea in the K-Quiz Golden Bell for a chance to win prizes. Kids can join the Kids’ EDM Club, and families can participate in engaging Korean food and ceramic workshops.
In the Marketplace, leading brands such as Samsung and LG will showcase the latest products, while food lovers can indulge in delicious tastings from K-beef and Fermentation Heaven, featuring everything from Hanwoo burgers to refreshing makgeolli. Experience premium Korean liquor with flight tastings and cocktail workshops, or grab some treats from Binggrae.
