Growing up in a musical family, Laufey’s music style is infused with elements of classical and pop music. Soon after her second album Bewitched was released in 2023, the Chinese-Icelander singer not only received critical acclaim for reviving jazz music for younger generations, but also garnered the award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the sixty-sixth annual Grammy Awards.
