M+ is launching an exhibition dedicated to photography for the first time since its opening. With more than 270 black-and-white photographs from the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and M+’s collections, the event is co-presented by The Hong Kong Jockey Club and French May, marking the opening of the upcoming arts festival. Spanning a century of works, it is the first time some photographs by legends such as Man Ray, Diane Arbus, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and more are coming to Asia. Groundbreaking Asian photographers will also be highlighted, such as Chang Chao-tang, Fan Ho, and Nalani Malani. The exhibit’s three sections show black-and-white photography in a different light.
