New World Development is celebrating the seventieth anniversary of the State Theatre this year with a new, retro logo design for the historical building. Working closely with the conservation team working on the theatre and artefacts collected throughout its history, this new logo is every bit inspired by its iconic exoskeleton truss on the roof. At the same time, a series of immersive theatre dinner soirées will be held at Yè Shanghai in celebration of the anniversary. Featuring performances choreographed by Andrew Bull, these reinterpretations of classics from the 1950s to 1980s bring diners into a “DreamState” of nostalgia.
