Tributes to Giacomo Puccini are pouring in from all around the world as 2024 marks 100 years since the death of the prominent Italian composer, famous for his operas Madama Butterfly, Tosca, and La Bohème.
To celebrate the occasion, The Peninsula Hong Kong has partnered with the Dante Alighieri Society Hong Kong and the Consulate General of Italy to bring us a performance of La Bohème at a surprising venue: the unique event will be hosted aboard a renovated Star Ferry vessel, the World Star. As well as enjoying the show, guests on board can enjoy The Peninsula’s now-iconic “Afternoon Tea on the Harbour” experience, with Italian-themed sweet and savoury bites.
The one-time-only opera cruise will debut at 4 pm and end at 6.30 pm on 28 April, with the sun gradually setting while guests sail along the harbour. To make your memories even more special, The Peninsula has created an AR filter for you to capture and share the special moment.
The event is selling out fast. Book your table here before they are all gone!
