Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong launches the next instalment of its chef collaboration series with the highly anticipated arrival of chef Silvio Germann. A leader of modern gastronomy who helms the two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Mammertsberg in Switzerland, Germann will be popping up at the Mandarin Grill + Bar and The Krug Room for two nights only on 30 and 31 October to present his award-winning dishes.
Guests will have the unique opportunity to experience Germann’s signature Swiss-influenced cuisine, underscored by global inspirations and cooking techniques. Bringing creative, cosmopolitan, and yet heritage-rooted dishes to the fore, Germann will curate a multi-course menu featuring the likes of turbot with artichoke and caviar, venison with celery and chestnut, radish kimchi, and pumpkin wrapped in chicory. 30 October is reserved for both lunch and dinner service at the Mandarin Grill + Bar, while 31 October will be reserved for lunch only.
Born in Hong Kong, raised in Germany, and educated in the US, Jen is an award-winning creative with a background in illustration, communication design, art direction, and content creation. When she’s not getting lost in a good book, you’ll find her doing crosswords, eating dim sum, covering all sides of a “Hamilton” number, and taking naps.
