In case you haven't heard, Hong Kong's favourite live music venue and Italian restaurant, Grappa's Cellar, is due to close down in July this year. After 20 long years of bringing live entertainment from all over the world to Hong Kong, the restaurant now faces an unforeseen closure as landlord Hongkong Land refuses to renew its lease (we've been told a food court is set to replace the venue). But all hope is not lost – yet.
Upon hearing the news, a team of loyal supporters has quickly jumpstarted a
"Save Grappa's Cellar" campaign to try and persuade Hongkong Land to change their minds. There are already over thousands of signees and as a special thanks to the support so far, a special event will be held on
May 29 where numerous music acts will be performing on stage, and saying a few words about why Grappa's Cellar is so important to them. If you want to do your part to help, be sure to
sign the petition, and make your way to the restaurant next Wednesday to show your support!
