Calling all recent graduates! Whether you’re a local university graduate, a returnee student, or still currently studying, the Summer 2024 GradConnection Hong Kong University Student Career Fair is a great place to start if you’re looking to take the first step in your career.
GradConnection provides all participants with the rare opportunity to network with 30 top employers, which covers companies from the STEM, IT, business, commerce, and real-estate industries. Notable names include Bloomberg, Cathay Pacific, Standard Chartered, and HKTDC. Students both past and present can learn about potential career paths, plus establish valuable connections with both local and global industry leaders.
Before attending, GradConnection suggests for attendees to polish up their CVs, research the participating companies, and prepare an elevator pitch, so that when you do interact with the company representatives present, you can make a strong first impression, plus ask insightful questions useful for your career search.
Another thing you can do in preparation for the fair is to complete the complimentary online personality questionnaire provided on the Chandler Macleod platform. Students can thus glean insights into their preferred work style, and how to leverage their personal strengths in a professional workspace. You can even get professional advice regarding the questionnaire results, as the Chandler Macleod team will be at the fair to guide participants through how their results can help increase their understanding of themselves, and how they can further develop their skills based on the results.
With so many perks, and the fair itself being completely free of charge, make sure to RSVP here for a spot at the GradConnection career fair on 9 August!
