In support of inclusive fashion and art diversity, Ngong Ping 360 works with various sectors in presenting the first “Ngong Ping Outdoor ARTcation.” Taking place from now until 7 November, the event features the ground-breaking collaboration with international fashion designer Vivienne Tam, who brings her first-ever virtual runway fashion show to Ngong Ping to launch the FW2021 collection entitled “City Camouflaged.” The theme was inspired by the breathtaking nature hikes and spiritual walks at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, just a whisker away from the bustling skyscrapers and urban jungle. It marks the debut of the brand to “stage” a digital show at one of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions set against nature.
With her roots in Hong Kong, international fashion designer Vivienne Tam has brought her fashion show from New York to Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, turning Ngong Ping Cable Car, Ngong Ping Village and Wisdom Path into a “runway”, to showcase her latest FW 2021 collection digitally to the whole world for the first time, allowing travellers from all over the globe to rediscover the unique beauty of Hong Kong. Vivienne Tam’s FW2021 collection highlights inclusiveness and universality, aiming to spread the message of loving our earth and loving your style.
Apart from hosting the first online virtual runway of an international fashion brand, Ngong Ping 360 will also be hosting an “Outdoor ARTcation” under the refreshing autumn breeze, joining hands with emerging local artists and talents to bring an artistic experience to families and young people. Highlights include Instagrammable hand-painted murals by local artists, a parent-child interactive puppet parade show, art jamming workshops, and a photography exhibition of Vienne Tam’s FW2021 collection!
