As a pet owner, there is nothing worse than when your beloved pet falls ill or—touch wood—gets into an accident. According to the Hong Kong Companion Animal Academy, responsible owners should have the numbers of (at least!) two to three 24-hour emergency veterinary clinics saved in their contacts, so we’ve done the research for you and rounded up a list of 24-hour clinics below. Be sure to jot down the contact details of your closest 24-hour vets, just in case.
But how do you recognise the signs of an emergency, especially when pets can’t communicate the way humans do? There’s a course for that. Hong Kong Companion Animal Academy offers pet first-aid courses in both Cantonese and English, and Whiskers N Paws are known to host the occasional first aid workshop at their store.
