We tried out the

And with all the gorgeous candles, pebbles, and blissful spa music playing in the background at this classy spa, you can be sure the mood is set to 'romance'.

2. Golden Goddess at Angsana Spa
Some people like to wear gold - others prefer to smother it all over their bodies. Book yourself into Hotel Icon's exquisite Angsana Spa (sister to the widely-acclaimed Banyan Tree Spa) and let the magical therapists transform you into a sparkling goddess with the Glitter Golden Bliss treatment. After gently washing your feet with hot scented towels, it's on to the massage table for a luxurious body scrub made from almond, fresh milk, honey, and pure gold foil. After a quick rinse in your own private ensuite shower to wash away the particles, you will then enjoy a 60-minute body conditioning massage using a mixture of heated body lotion, massage cream, olive oil and gold powder that will work wonders on those knots - and quite likely send you to sleep. To finish, you can select a facial from the spa's signature selection, which lasts for 60 blissful minutes, before rounding of your pamper session with some herbal tea and fresh fruit.
This treatment is brilliant for two reasons: firstly, all the therapists at Angsana are highly skilled and trained in Thailand, meaning they have incredibly healing hands when it comes to soothing out those aches and pains. Secondly, aside from making you feel like a magical fairy goddess covered in glistening gold sparkles, these particles are said to contain anti-aging properties and provide a luminosity to your skin. This 75-minute pamper session includes a full body organic chocolate honey scrub followed by a chocolate body wrap that will leave your skin smelling sweet and feeling smooth as silk. Scientists are always telling us that chocolate contains many health benefits (such as the powerful anti-oxidant properties of its main ingredient, cocoa butter), so you won't need to think twice before smothering the gorgeous stuff all over your body.
