Aqua Luna II Launches with Epic Cruises and Free Rides for Locals

By Sophie Pettit 11 May 2017
Take a stroll along Victoria Harbour and you may spot the imperial blue and white Mighty Ming Dragon soaring above the water. No we're not on drugs, the brand new Aqua Luna II is unfurling her sails after two years of construction and she's doing it in style! Stealing the limelight somewhat from her famous big sister, the iconic Aqua Luna I (ironically smaller in size), the stunning new traditional Chinese junk boat and latest addition to the Hong Kong 'bucket list' is offering locals and visitors the chance to cruise against the city's gorgeous skyline, and all Hong Kong ID holders the opportunity to sail for free on May 13 and 14 (from 12pm to 4pm). [caption id="attachment_91645" align="aligncenter" width="660"] Sail away, sail away![/caption] During the day, guests can explore locations around the harbour on the hop-on/hop-off Harbour Discovery Tour, docking at destinations including Stanley, Cheung Chau, and Lamma Island. Night owls, on the other hand, can enjoy 45-minute cruises spent sipping on cocktails and relaxing on cushty lounge beds. And that's not all. Dim sum lovers will no doubt jump at the chance to hop on deck and tuck into a tasty lunch of signature dishes created by new eatery Dim Sum Library, available every Monday from 1pm (we've tried them, they're epic!) [caption id="attachment_91646" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Hungry much?[/caption] So if you have an HKID and you're curious to 'chase the dragon', get yourself down to Central Harbourfront on May 13 and 14 and check her out. But be quick as it's first-come, first-served, and don't make too much of a fuss - we don't want to make her big sister jealous!
