If you’re on the lookout for a high-intensity workout programme, perhaps consider CrossFit and its signature WODs (workout of the day). CrossFit is a multi-functional fitness discipline with elements of lifting, aerobics, gymnastics, cardio, and more, reaping the benefits of an array of regimens. The global CrossFit community encompasses over 10,000 affiliated gyms all over the world, and the fitness programme is growing in popularity in Hong Kong, too. Hong Kong has quite a few CrossFit studios for you to choose from if you’re looking to get started—check out our picks below.
Coastal Fitness (CSTL) is a CrossFit studio offering endurance, gymnastics, barbell, Hyrox, and CrossFit group classes. If you’re really committed, you can join one of three CrossFit programmes: Live, Perform, or Compete. Each programme includes six- to eight-week training phases with five 60-minute CrossFit group workouts a week!
Not only is CSTL a CrossFit affiliate, but it is also a partner of The Process Programming, an international fitness network and community. This partnership grants members access to The Process online training programme and even a training podcast!
Drop-ins at CSTL are priced at $300, and there are unlimited monthly packages available. The team offers a free assessment and recommends that you start with a fundamentals onboarding package. Check out the rates and sign up here.

It also offers personal training, yoga, and wellness classes for a well-rounded fitness plan.

Located in Wan Chai, Apeiron Performance is a naturally lit studio with high ceilings, a far cry from the dark gym aesthetics that we’re used to. Apeiron offers a combination of CrossFit and hypertrophy, a training technique dedicated to increasing muscle mass. It works as an open gym from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 or 6 pm from Monday to Friday, with five CrossFit group classes available every day. The schedule is reduced on Saturdays and Sundays, with two CrossFit classes at 9.30 am and 10.30 am. Contact the team via WhatsApp for details on rates and how to sign up.

Having moved from its original location in Happy Valley, CrossFit Cavaliers now calls a 2,500-square-foot space in Kennedy Town its home. Although other workouts are on offer, the studio was specifically laid out for CrossFit training, with individual platforms, glute-ham developers, air bikes, barbells, bumper plates, pull-up bars, rings, row machines, kettlebells, and medicine balls a plenty!
It works as an open gym for a couple of hours each day, with up to six CrossFit group sessions per day from Monday to Friday. A drop-in session will set you back $300, and CrossFit Cavaliers offers various unlimited monthly packages. Check out the rates and book your free trial here.

CrossFit Typhoon is the cool kid on the block, with its urban aesthetic and its bunker-style venue. Group sessions are divided into four phases, starting with a dynamic warm-up, while the “workout of the day” portion of the class, with its high-intensity rep exercises, will challenge your limits, followed by a strengthening session to improve your technical skills. Finally, there is a cooldown and stretching phase to unwind.
Typhoon prides itself on its low coach-to-client ratio, hoping to offer a personalised experience. Give Typhoon a try with its three-class intro pack ($300) before you commit to an unlimited monthly or flexible membership. Check the rates and sign up here.
