As the energetic retail heart of Hong Kong Island, Causeway Bay, with its assembly of luxury department stores and street markets, is the ideal spot for an indulgent shopping spree. But where to eat in-between all the retail therapy? Good news—the vibrant neighbourhood offers a plethora of dining options for all budgets and palates. From upscale dining venues to street-food stalls, there will be a restaurant that caters to your preferences. If you are having problems locating your next meal, here is our list of the best restaurants in Causeway Bay.
We all love a good tapas night, so what’s better than relishing in delectable food and wine with a group of friends? In Causeway Bay, Calle Ocho is the perfect venue for exactly that. Walk in and you’ll be met with traditional tiled walls and Iberian-inspired architecture, instantly transporting you to the streets of Madrid. However, it’s the welcoming staff and convivial crowd of customers that truly make the tapas de siempre venue come to life.
As for the dishes, you can never go wrong with simple yet quintessential Spanish staples. Small plates like the Ibérico ham croquetas and classic Española tortilla are excellent starters to savour the iconic flavours of Spain. Meanwhile, the arroz negro paella is a long-time favourite for its juicy calamari and tantalising squid aroma. Remember to wrap up with some chocolate churros and a jug of artisanal sangria!

Nestled in the outdoor food alleys within Fashion Walk, the quaint exterior of Le Colonial certainly stands out among its boisterous neighbours. Inspired by the elegant décor found in Parisian eateries, this charming bistro is draped in greenery and adorned with Belle Époque-style interiors, making it a hidden gem for photogenic foodies.
Dining here is a sensational experience—it’s not only a feast for the eyes, but also your palate. Enjoy a delightful range of dishes such as the crispy suckling pig and rice casserole that boasts crusty skin and succulent, tender meat, along with the Le Phở noodles for classical Vietnamese flavours. We highly recommend its Le Lunch set for the best deal, which comes with two appetisers, one main dish, and one drink per person.

Once a Sai Ying Pun neighbourhood venue, Casa Cucina and Bar has now relocated to Causeway Bay to continue serving Italian delicacies. Promising big flavours in small portions, the Venetian-inspired cicchetti bar offers an exquisite blend of homely Italian cuisine with a Hong Kong twist. While starters such as the octopus carpaccio and clams taste refreshing and delightful, the handcrafted pasta, made from locally sourced ingredients, steal the show. Opt for the lobster ravioli, morels pappardelle, or ox cheek pappardelle, each plating a canvas of vibrant flavours that celebrates the richness of each season. To finish, the tofu panna cotta is a fusion dessert you should try as well.
