By Amanda Sheppard 25 January 2019
The news is out, and there’s no time for horsing around. From February 15 to 17, the Longines Masters of Hong Kong promises to bring a weekend of fine food and drink, demonstrations of equestrian excellence, and fierce competition to keep you on the edge of your seat at AsiaWorld-Expo.

If you can manage to tear yourself away from the ringside, the Prestige Village offers a wealth of experiences and retail outlets, while the nearby Kids’ Gallery promises all manner of family-friendly entertainment, ranging from the Longines Carousel to a virtual reality racing game. Food and beverage offerings include a VIP experience curated by guest-chef Hilda Chan, who has worked side by side with several acclaimed Michelin-starred chefs. The party is set to continue long into the night, with an exclusive set by Belgian musician and DJ Henri PFR. Tickets are priced between $230 and $850 and are available via the Longines Masters website.

Following a brief and bitterly cold stint in Scotland, Amanda returned to Hong Kong—a place she’s called home for over 18 years—to begin her career as a writer. She can often be found getting lost somewhere very familiar, planning her next holiday, and enjoying a cup (or three) of good, strong coffee.
