Well, don your mask and gloves and visit one of these awesome wine and liquor stores and bottle shops to stock up on all your favourite drinks.
The Bottle Shop in Sai Kung is a friendly one-stop-bottle-shop that believes in small affordable luxuries, and we do too! The Bottle Shop was one of the founding members of the Craft Beer Association of Hong Kong, and their shop showcases a wide range of local and international craft beers in addition to spirits from all over the world. The Bottle Shop also aims to support local businesses, making locally-made (non-alcoholic) beverages, speciality ice cream, and candy available to their customers. If you’re an amateur or aspiring bartender, you can pick up cocktail making utensils at The Bottle Shop, too.

Have you always wanted to get into home-brewing but didn’t know where to start? HK Brewcraft is the ultimate home-brewing supplies store and bottle shop. Almost 100 home-brewing ingredients and more than 60 equipment kits are available in stores and online. The owners, who are avid homebrewers themselves, have also sourced an ever-changing collection of over 300 craft beers both locally and internationally brewed for sale at affordable prices at their location in Central and TST. They even have some from Estonia and Sweden!
99 Bottles isn’t just a popular inexpensive watering hole on Peel Street—it’s also a convenient grab-and-go bottle shop. The main focus in the well-stocked fridges is the local craft brews, with all our favourites like the Heroes Hangry Donut and the Young Master Cha Chaan Gose. They also carry international craft beers from the US, Canada, and Australia as well as a limited selection of wine to take home. While there aren’t exactly 99 bottles, the drinks selection is still diverse.

Craftissimo is a dedicated craft beer shop with a craft brew selection that’s updated weekly. The range is expertly curated, sourcing close to 300 of the best craft beers made locally and worldwide. As one of Hong Kong’s top craft beer destinations, there are beers from relatively unknown (in our city, at least) breweries you won’t find anywhere else, like barrel-aged stouts from Belgium and probiotic carb-free sour ciders from Los Angeles. You can also fill up your growler here! If you get overwhelmed by the options you can always ask the knowledgeable staff.

Conveniently located at the end of the Hong Kong Island tram line is The Tramline Liquor Co., a cosy bottle-o and distributor for some of the finest craft beer around, as well as a fantastic selection of premium spirits. There are some lesser-known gems available at Tramline, such as New Zealand’s Yeastie Boys and Urbanaut, and the UK’s Fourpure. They've always got deals on their beers so drop by and see if anything new tickles your fancy.

Whatever spirit you need to stock up on, HK Liquor Store probably carries it. In addition to its awesome online shop, there are six retail locations across Hong Kong Island and Kowloon that stock over 3,000 varieties of spirits and wines. HK Liquor Store also has the city’s largest assorted selection of gin, tequila, mezcal, vodka, rum, and whisky. You can find all of your favourite local gins here, like Bauhinia Gin and Two Moons Gin, as well as limited-edition bottles from global liquor brands like Hennessy VSOP and Johnnie Walker.
Don’t judge Liquor Land by its cover. There may be no room to swing a cat inside this pint-sized liquor store, but they’ve got nearly everything you need to stock your wine fridge and liquor cabinet. Liquor Land always has deals going on, from sparkling wines to schnapps, so you’re guaranteed to get a liquor haul at a great price.

Sharing the posh ambience of the beloved speakeasy 001 downstairs is Liquor & Liqueur, a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it liquor store full of premium spirits. All of the liquor and liqueur on the sleek dark shelves are top of the line, as well as the cocktail mixing accompaniments, but what Liquor & Liqueur really does best is whisky. From your classic Scotch whiskies and American bourbons to the rarest of the rare Macallan Single Cask series, they’ve got you covered.

Sake Central has an extensive selection of sake, shochu, and Japanese whiskies lining the walls of their modern space in PMQ. Sake Central is staffed by friendly and informative staff from different backgrounds but with a shared passion: celebrating both Japanese liquor and culture. Every month they spotlight a different sake producing region as well as small breweries in Japan, and with over 300 labels available as well as an ever-changing selection to reflect the seasons and palates of the staff, you never know what you might find on a visit to the shop.

If you’re a whisky fan, Dram Good’s selection of single malts and blended whiskies are, well, dram fine! Everything available at this affable whisky shop is something that the owners and staff would drink themselves, and with decades of whisky drinking experience, you know that whatever they recommend that suits your palate would be the good stuff. Aside from whisky, Dram Good also has a collection of premium wines and artisanal spirits at wallet-friendly prices.

The Rare Malt is a hip whisky shop you wouldn’t expect to find in the Kwun Tong industrial area. They’ve got all your world whisky favourites at friendly prices, but you can expect to find unique flavours from niche independent bottlers too! In addition to authentic drams, The Rare Malt also stocks special edition Japanese gins and vintage Armagnacs, truly living up to their name. Sticking to Hong Kong Island? They have a Central location as well.
Family-owned French wine library Premier Cru is the place to go for any discerning French wine lover. With a prestigious list of over a thousand references suited to all needs and tastes, and access to wineries previously not seen in Hong Kong (thanks to generational connections), Premier Cru offers not only attractive pricing on their wine selection but also an unpretentious learning experience in buying and tasting wine.

Winerack specialises in mixed cases of high quality and affordable wines. They help you (and themselves) cut down on costs by sourcing their wines directly from the vineyards, and by concentrating on a smaller selection while buying in large quantities. They’ve got a great selection of French, Italian, and Kiwi wines, as well as beers, spirits, and more, all of which are available to order online and pick up in stores. There are always sales going on too!
With over two decades of wine experience and a wine list of over 2,000 bottles sourced from over 20 countries, Watson’s Wine is the granddaddy of wine shops here in Hong Kong. More than 400 of the wines that Watson’s stocks are exclusive to their brand, and they even have a Fine Wine Room at their retail locations containing over 300 unique world vintages. The informed team of staff all undergo Wine & Spirit Education Trust wine training, so their recommendations are to be trusted.
Oz Terroirs is your one-stop-shop for all your boutique and handcrafted Australian wine needs. The team travels to Australia regularly, particularly the Victoria wine region, to source only the best small batch wines that are made with heart and authenticity. Organic and biodynamic wines can be found here too! The wine selection at Oz Terroirs is limited, so if you try it and like it, you better take some home at excellent value for money.

Le Quinze Vins brings high-quality French wines, meats, and cheese directly from the heart of Paris to Hong Kong. Their exclusive selection of Domaines and Chateaux that you may have sampled at the bar are sourced directly from all over France, and available to take home as well. You’ll find a tipple for every budget here, their cheapest starting at just under $100, and you’ll probably want to pick up some cold cuts and cheese to snack on along with it.
Enoteca was founded in Japan over 30 years ago, with their first Hong Kong shop opening more than a decade ago. They’re dedicated to providing all wine lovers with high quality yet affordable wines, offering heaps of deals on premium wines from classic wine regions all over the world. We encourage you to take advantage of their convenient locations spread out over Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and even New Territories and their stellar promotions to fill up your wine cabinet.
If you’re looking for great wines and champers at a great value, Soho Wine & Spirits has got you covered. Seriously, this wine shop is a great bang for your buck, with a bottle of Veuve Cliquot under $400 and some excellent reds, whites, and sparklings sitting at under $100. They’ve also got a great selection of beers, spirits, and mixers, as well as cheap but quality glassware and drinking accessories.

Etc Wine Shops are an immersive wine retail experience. Stocked with both Bordeaux and boutique wines, Etc is carefully curated to help you make the most enlightened wine purchases.
