To round off a calamitous and weirdly long year, looming on the horizon is a Christmas that looks set to be a quiet one, celebrated with just the closest of family. Nevertheless, traditions mustn’t be ignored, so why not lift the mood as much as possible with your best festive ornaments and a Yuletide feast? Turkey is an absolute holiday must-have on your dinner table, and if you haven’t had it yet over Thanksgiving, then Christmas is the time to indulge. Here are 20 of Hong Kong’s best turkey dinner packages for Christmas dining in the comfort of your own home!

AMMO

AMMO is doing a party turkey set ($2,180) with a 4.5-kilogram US turkey that has been brined overnight, marinated, then filled with home-made stuffing, before being roasted until it’s crispy outside and still juicy inside. Aside from the accompanying cranberry sauce and turkey gravy, four festive sides are also included, such as maple purple potato mash, roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta, three-cheese brown butter truffle baked macaroni, and ending with Hershey chocolate brownies with vanilla sauce. There is also an extended list of add-on items to order as well. This set can serve up to eight people. Orders must be placed four days in advance, and if you order before 6 December, you can enjoy an early bird 10 percent off discount.

Porterhouse

Inspired by European festive food traditions, Porterhouse is offering a festive turkey party menu ($2,000). Available until 31 December, this set consists of a six-kilogram organic roasted turkey with pickled lemon and cranberry sauce, as well as a range of sides like Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, roasted pumpkin, and garlic & chilli broccoli. Orders must be placed three days in advance, and if you place the takeaway order with Lan Kwai Fong Delivery Direct, you can enjoy a 25 percent discount, bringing the total down to $1,500.

La Rotisserie

Everyone’s favourite poultry-based lunch spot has curated festive menus for dining at home. Done in the same rotisserie-style as their famous chickens, their French free-range turkey is rich in flavour, and comes in either 2.5- or 3.5-kilogram portions, with a zesty cranberry, orange & ginger sauce. Turkeys come with sides of sautéed French beans with sweet potatoes & chestnuts and truffle Parmesan mashed potatoes, as well as chocolate cake for dessert. La Rotisserie’s Christmas turkey package costs either $1,620 for a six- to eight-person portion, or $1,820 for an eight- to 10-person portion, and require booking at least three days in advance.

Feather & Bone

Customise Christmas your way with Feather & Bone’s build-your-own Christmas bundles. It could not be easier to use their online Christmas feast builder, conveniently split into eight categories, such as turkey, ready-to-roast, and classic Christmas produce, and you can choose your favourites from each to curate your order. We’d definitely go for the Autour de Lise chilled free-range turkey ($888), pigs in blankets ($148), and bacon stuffing ($100). Orders can be made for delivery or in-store pick-up between 1 and 25 December.

Main St. Deli

The Langham is utilising their restaurants for you to have the perfect Christmas meal. Order a roasted US tom turkey from Main St. Deli, complete with all the dressings such as sage, giblet, bacon, and cornbread stuffing, brussels sprouts, buttered baby carrots, and gravy and sauces. A six-kilogram turkey ($2,388) will feed six to 10 people, while a nine- to 10-kilogram bird ($3,888) will be enough for up to 18.

Additional sides like traditional cornbread (from $130) or forest mushroom soup (from $280) can also be ordered, as well as sweet treats from Palm Court like a gingerbread house ($328) or a Christmas fruit cake ($268). Orders are available until 31 December and must be placed 48 hours in advance. Langham Supper Club members can also get 20 percent off. Orders over $2,000 are eligible for free delivery to Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.

Black Sheep Restaurants

For the first time ever, Black Sheep Restaurants is offering Christmas menus for pick-up or delivery—you know you are in for a treat as these are created by chef Braden Reardon of Carbone and Buenos Aires Polo Club fame. Half a roast turkey with spiced cranberry sauce and rosemary gravy is served with sweet potato mash, bacon, root vegetable gratin, mac & cheese, house rolls, and maple butter. Choose between the apple crumble with salted caramel or chocolate chestnut Bûche de Noël to round things off. Available for $498 per person, with a minimum order for two people. Orders must be placed via email by 18 December for availability for 24 to 26 December.

The Murray

Treat yourself and your family to The Murray’s free-range organic turkey ($1,988). Raised on a gluten-free and non-GMO vegetarian diet in a small family-owned farm in California, you can be pretty sure this is one of the best-quality birds to be found in Hong Kong this Christmas. It also comes with chestnut sage stuffing, buttermilk-whipped potatoes, roasted winter vegetables, giblet gravy, and spiced cranberry sauce. The portion is enough to serve eight to 10 people, and orders must be placed seven days in advance.

Hotel Icon

Hotel Icon is offering a range of festive takeaway items to purchase online on their e-shop, which you can then pick up from Green. A two-kilogram roasted French baby turkey ($560) is available with apple chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce, and giblet gravy, but if you cannot be bothered to carve, there is also the roasted sliced turkey ($240) that comes in a 300-gram portion with the same accompaniments. Augment the meal with a range of sides like honey-glazed sweet potatoes with cinnamon ($48), creamy mashed potatoes ($48), Christmas pudding with vanilla sauce ($120), or Christmas Stollen cake ($98). Pick-up is available from 19 to 27 December.

Dolce 88

Dolce 88 at JW Marriott is offering a range of Christmas hampers and festive treats, as well as whole roasted turkeys for takeaway. It comes with a variety of trimmings, as well as a complimentary pecan, apple, or pumpkin pie, so you need not worry about preparing extras for the meal. A six- to eight-person portion costs $2,088, while one that serves eight to 12 costs $2,488. Orders can be made online or sent to [email protected].

Island Shangri-La

Island Gourmet at the Island Shangri-La is bringing out an extensive collection of Christmas and party delicatessen offerings. There are two choices of turkey sizes—four kilograms ($928) or six kilograms ($1,298)—as well as plenty of other sides to round out your Christmas meal, such as turkey stuffing ($228), deluxe cold cuts with cheese ($528), and the Christmas Frou Frou log cake (from $298). Similar “roast-to-go” packages are also offered by the other Shangri-La hotels, Kowloon Shangri-La and Kerry Hotel. Simply fill out the Christmas party delicatessen order form with your desired items and return the form to Island Gourmet.

City’super

As ever, City’super looks after Hong Kong foodies with their excellent range of festive fare—you are spoilt for choice with three great options of turkey. The Diestel USA frozen organic young turkey ($725) comes from an organic family ranch and is free from animal by-products, antibiotics, and chemicals; the Daylesford organic UK chilled organic bronze turkey ($1,800) is reared outdoors in the award-winning farm; and the French chilled label rouge turkey ($1,080) is the French equivalent, fed on maize and finished with milk for extra tenderness.

Should you not wish you cook your own bird, City’super also has a great all-rounder festive meal in their Set C: Joyful Set ($4,988), a party catering package that comes with a Butterball turkey, honey-glazed ham, sashimi, lasagna, and much more besides, all of which is enough to serve a whopping 12 to 14 people.

Relish

This events and catering company has been around for 15 years and has launched a range of transportable festive offers to spread the Christmas cheer. Their main course of bacon-wrapped turkey roll with sage and hazelnut stuffing ($1,800) comes with five traditional side dishes—pigs in blanket, duck fat-roasted potatoes, and more—as well as a family-sized dessert to share. All items arrive ready to be easily finished in the oven or on the stove before serving. A wine package can also be tacked on for $300 more. Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance.

Smoke & Barrel

Technically, this all-inclusive package from American barbecue smokehouse Smoke & Barrel is a Thanksgiving set, but we’re not complaining since it runs over to the Christmas season as well. Available until 26 December, the takeaway Thanksgiving dinner ($1,888) includes a premium five- to six-kilogram whole smoked turkey, with homemade cranberry sauce and all the traditional sides. What’s more, there’s also a traditional pecan pie as well as a bottle of sparkling wine thrown in to put everyone in a good and jolly mood.

Big Sur

Soho watering hole Big Sur is supplying us with turkey takeaways aplenty this Christmas. Their herb-smoked whole roast turkey with sourdough gravy ($2,100) weighs 4.8 kilograms and comes from a ranch in Utah. Festive sides with a modern twist are also included, such as chestnut butter & crispy bacon Brussels sprouts & kale, honey miso-glazed roasted carrots & parsnips, and cheddar & jalapeño cornbread. A dessert of apple pie and bite-sized pecan pies are also chucked in for your enjoyment. Serving six to eight guests, this turkey takeaway set must be ordered by 5 December and can be picked up in either Big Sur, District 8, or Hue.

All hotels under L’hotel Group are now offering roasted turkey sets to take the hassle out of Christmas cooking. Weighing four to five kilograms, this also includes herb & onion bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy. Order a turkey with them before 6 December to receive a stunning 40 percent discount, bringing the price of the bird down to $892.80! If you want your entire gathering catered for, then they also do a Blessed Christmas delivery package ($4,980) for 20 people which comes with a turkey, five appetisers, five entrées, and five desserts. Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

Following the success of their Thanksgiving deliveries, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is delivering their festive specials for Christmas as well. Their whole roasted turkey ($1,388) comes with pork sausage stuffing, ruby port, giblet gravy, and cranberry sauce—weighing eight to 10 kilograms, this can serve up to 10 people. There is also a range of starters, sides, and desserts to order, such as foie gras terrine ($488), roasted pumpkin wedges ($70), and the Santa Claus-themed Grand Hyatt festive chocolate cake ($260). These are available from 21 December to 1 January and will require a minimum of six hours of preparation from order confirmation, so order in advance. Delivery service is available for orders over $2,500, or you can enjoy a 15 percent discount if you choose self-collection.

Kind Kitchen by Green Common

Plant-based F&B concepts Kind Kitchen and Green Common are bringing health-conscious Hongkongers a vegan festive feast this Christmas. Aside from fantastic meat-free offerings such as Gardein fish, OmniPork spaghetti bolognese, and Caesar salad with plant-based chicken, the star of the show here is the vegan turkey, served with sautéed vegetables and sweet potato fries, made from a novel approach of crispy layers of Gardein, brown rice, wild rice, celery, onion, and cranberries. Wrap things up with the gluten-free vegan chocolate cheesecake and feel satisfyingly guilt-free this holiday season. Available only at the Pacific Place branch, Plat du Jour’s Christmas turkey takeaway ($850) consists of a slow-roasted whole turkey weighing approximately six kilograms, with a range of sides like chestnut stuffing, roasted butternut squash, and honey-glazed sweet potatoes. The price is so reasonable because a 30 percent discount is applied to self pick-up orders, so don’t forget to place your orders at least 48 hours in advance.

Our hearts and bellies wept when Little Birdy shuttered in December last year, so the relief we felt when part of its team opened Big Birdy in October this year was immense. This holiday season, they are delighting palates with a peri peri-basted turkey as the star of the Biggest Birdy holiday feast package ($880). Serving four to six people, this USA free-range, hormone-free bird weighing 3.5 kilograms will have been brined for 24 hours before being dry-rubbed with peri peri spices, steamed, then finished on a flaming grill.
