KFC Hong Kong has just unveiled two new meat-free options on their menu! In partnership with Green Monday, this “New Era” series will feature a burger made with Gardein and Alpha Foods’ plant-based nuggets.
The New Era Burger ($49) contains Gardein’s chick’n patty, made from soy, wheat, pea protein, grains, and vegetables. It will then be served with barbecue sauce, vegetables, and tortilla chips within a focaccia bun. The New Era Nuggets ($29), on the other hand, are from Alpha Foods, made with soy and wheat proteins.
Those hankering after these meat-free options will be available in 19 KFC branches across Hong Kong, including Central, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, and Sha Tin. This comes hot on the heels of the health-forward, meat-free trend sweeping the globe, and we can’t be happier that the Colonel is also hopping on board.
To mark this (ahem) new era, KFC has also collaborated with 9FIFTY to create a snapback cap, with lime green and white accents on a black base. While its normal retail price is $359, diners who order from the New Era range will be able to buy it at a promotional price of $339, while those who order from the new menu using KFC’s dedicated app can have the price further lowered to $319.
Try this innovative new menu for yourself and see if it’s still finger-lickin’ good!
