Heimat and CulinArt 1862 are hosting a four-hands dinner to celebrate three decades of friendship

By Jen Paolini 17 March 2023

In life, people tend to come and go, but true friendships that transcend decades are worth their weight in gold, and certainly deserve an elaborate celebration. It’s a momentous occasion such as this one that brings together two acclaimed chefs, Peter Find of Heimat and Stanley Wong of CulinArt 1862, for two nights to honour their 30 years of friendship, commemorating this milestone in the best way they know how—through food and cooking.

On 31 March at CulinArt 1862 and 28 April at Heimat, guests can experience first-hand the connection between the chefs as they work together to present two different eight-course menus. Find and Wong’s unique gastronomic skills will be on show as the menus alternate between modern German cuisine and Asian-inspired global dishes, reflecting the unique characters of their respective restaurants, while the meal is underscored by a pairing programme that includes primarily boutique German wines and sake labels, such as from Weingut Markus Molitor, Weingut Dönnhoff, and Taiko.

Wong and Find open the collaboration at CulinArt 1862 on 31 March, starting with a refreshing Japanese momotaro tomato dish, followed by the unexpected but perfectly succulent lobster cheesecake, and a tender spiced mallard duck breast. Heimat’s famous cabbage roll, stuffed with pork and prepared in a rich stock, is also featured.

At Heimat on 28 April, diners will start their journey with Brittany lobster before continuing the voyage at sea with Hokkaido diver scallop and fillet of kinmedai. Come back to land with the white German asparagus and whimsical chocolate noodles, a new creation by Find that is served with sour cherries and chocolate crumble.

Experience Find and Wong’s collaborative efforts by booking your table for the dinner series now, which can be enjoyed on its own or together as a two-nights-only celebration. Each eight-course menu goes for $1,288, with the option to add a six-glass pairing for $688. Book for both nights to enjoy a 20 percent discount on top.
