If you fancy yourself a bit of a photographer, then now is your time to shine, because a brand new Instagram photo competition is launching this April 5 to May 2. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Scheme, the four-week contest challenges Hongkongers to snap their way around the city for the chance to win tons of amazing prizes.

Historical buildings include the Savannah College of Art and Design Hong Kong in Sham Shui Po, the famous Viva Blue House in Wan Chai, and the Stone Houses Family Garden in Kowloon City. The competition is divided into two award categories: Photos of the Week (with 40 prizes), and Best 11 Photos Award (with 11 prizes). For Photos of the Week, the top 10 most liked photos for each week will be rewarded with a special Revitalisation Scheme stamp gift bag. And for the Best 11 Photos Award, the best photo of each building will receive a special prize from the building itself, including free workshops, dinners, and cash coupons.
Winners can also gain exposure by having their photo published in the metro Pop and U Magazine, as well as having the opportunity to showcase it at the F11 Foto Museum, public libraries, D2 Place, and other commercial malls. Head to the site’s official competition page for more details on what you can win.
Apart from amazing prizes, the competition is also a great chance for you to explore the city, rev up your photography skills, and gain an understanding of Hong Kong’s wonderful cultural history. The competition closes on May 2, so get snapping Hong Kong!
