Announced on The Nikkei, Japan’s premier financial newspaper, the report states that Hong Kong consumers consistently show a large demand for Japanese pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, skincare, and healthy food products, fuelling Matsumoto Kiyoshi’s decision to open a branch in the city.
Japanese drugstores are a must-go spot for many Hongkongers when visiting Japan—and for good reason. These one-stop-shops are famous for everything from skin ointments, muscle pain relief patches, and multi-vitamins, to diet pills, popular sheet masks, and makeup. While details have yet to be announced, stay tuned and check back often for further updates. In the meantime, brush up on your Japanese vocab!
