Yuen creates designs that are inspired by the outdoors, using traditional Southeast Asian craft techniques and materials that are environmentally-friendly. Earth.er also donates parts of its proceeds to the World Vision organisation to help raise children in developing countries. Its tropical jewellery style is unparalleled and makes one feel like a true islander! Different motifs include dreamcatchers, the yin yang, and symbols taken from Hinduism. Founded by local gal Ishita Desai, one of Aanya’s main ethos is to empower women. Rural, tribal women in India have been marginalised in Indian society for centuries, and through employment opportunities, fair practices, and skill training, they are bridging the gap between empowerment and consumerism. Although Aanya focuses primarily on bohemian clothing, their distinctive range of ethically sourced and sustainably created accessories should not go unnoticed. Here, the designs are intricate, and the cherry on top is that their pieces are all limited in numbers and sourced from India. While you can browse Aanya’s jewellery pieces online, they actually stock more pieces in their Central boutique. Keep an eye out for their necklaces, which are the epitome of minimalistic—you can pair them with practically anything!

Sagiri Dayal is a photographer-turned-jewellery-designer who became interested in the ancient art of Chinese knotting when she moved to Hong Kong. Repurposing old and found jade pieces, Dayal combines Chinese knotting with her Indian roots, crafting one-of-a-kind jewellery that is both beautiful and sustainable. Cognisant of her environmental impact, all accessories are made by hand and existing ornaments are recycled into new pieces where possible. Eclectic and bold, her designs can be paired with minimalistic outfits to really let them shine.
