Localiiz Property Picks: Cheap serviced apartments in Hong Kong

By Jenny Leung 30 April 2019

If you’re looking for a temporary living arrangement in Hong Kong with no long-term commitment, then serviced apartments are the way to go. The price tag that comes with them, however, might leave you slurping cup noodles for the next month or so. But fear not, as we’ve done the legwork to find you the best, and of course, cheapest serviced apartments for those who are on a budget.

Apple-Dorm

Apple Dorm

  • $3,500–$4,200
  • 30–50 square feet
  • Free Wi-Fi, pantry, toilets, shared shower facilities, coin-operated washing and drying machine

Yup, 30 square feet. This place is as cheap as it gets. If you’re not claustrophobic, then Apple Dorms might be a perfect fit for you. Mind you, there’s probably not going to be much space to fit a lot of luggage so make sure you pack light.

In-Inn

In Inn

  • $6,900–$8,900 per month
  • 9–13 square metres
  • HD TV, free in-room Wi-Fi, free local calls, weekly housekeeping, free shampoo and shower gel, shared microwave and refrigerator

The rooms at In Inn might be a tight fit, but their chic and modern interiors definitely make up for it. Located in Tsim Sha Shui, the Inn is only a three-minute walk to the MTR station so crossing the harbour will never be a problem, and if you’re new to Hong Kong, its common area is a great place for you to mingle and get to know some new people.

700-Limited-The-Harmonium

The Harmonium

  • From $9,500 per month
  • 100–200 square feet
  • Fully-equipped kitchen, weekly cleaning services, wireless and unlimited broadband internet, TV

Okay, so some of these apartments are actually more in the range of under $15,000, but for a relatively spacious pad that’s located in areas such as Wan Chai, Soho, and Causeway Bay, it’s a true bargain. Every apartment is also conveniently located so that you never have to worry about transportation, food, or even your social life.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in the UK, Jenny grew up with the best of both worlds. She loves just about anything to do with music and doesn’t shy away from belting out a tune or two when it comes to karaoke. If she’s not out and about exploring the city and practising her photography skills, she’s probably tucked up in bed with a book or glued to her laptop doing her online shopping.
