Helmed by top female chef Esther Sham,
Maison ES restaurant offers a charming touch of French elegance in the heart of Wan Chai’s Star Street precinct. But beyond this exquisite setting lies a stunning private kitchen in which guests can enjoy an unforgettable evening of fine French cuisine.
Fine French Fair
Housed in a gorgeous sun-filled, vintage-inspired 2,300 square-foot space, Maison ES seeks to transport guests back in time as they dine in the laid-back, garden-themed environment designed entirely by Sham, who has enjoyed ten successful years as a restaurant entrepreneur.
The restaurant strikes an ideal balance of sophistication, flair, and femininity, with an elegant interior, adorned with hand-selected antiques, artworks, and collectibles sourced from flea markets around the world. You will even spot a charming vintage white bicycle in the beautiful private garden which provides a true alfresco retreat.
Meanwhile, eye-catching floral arrangements showcase Sham's skill and passion for botanical aesthetics, while an inviting bar presenting creative cocktails and stunning displays of jet-fresh oysters sits at the forefront of the venue.
In this beautiful setting, guests can indulge in a comforting yet creative menu of contemporary French fare with an Asian twist. Aside from a tantalising à la carte and tasting menu, Maison ES offers a weekend brunch buffet and an afternoon tea set in collaboration with luxury skincare brand, John Masters Organics.
Private Dining at Ta Pantry
But Sham's best kept secret is perhaps her stunning private kitchen and dining area,
Ta Pantry, which lies beyond the garden terrace. In this intimate setting, guests can embark on a gastronomic adventure as Sham shares her passion for food and hospitality, using her experience of Michelin star cuisine and fine dining to create an unforgettable meal for all.
The private dining room serves only one party of up to 25 guests per evening to ensure their privacy and comfort, as they relax within the stunning French cottage inspired interior, furnished with a long dining table and decorated with rooster artwork, all hand-picked by Sham. The impressive Miele kitchen is equipped with a full set of pink Le Creuset cast iron cooking wares as well as a 42-inch flat screen TV which can be used to show videos or presentations.
Ta Pantry is a place where people can share their passions for delicate foods, fine wines, and good company. In essence, the perfect sanctuary in which to escape the city and enjoy a touch of
je ne sais quoi!
