Sevens in the City: Dive into the World’s Greatest Rugby Party

Already a major event in the Hong Kong calendar, Hong Kong Sevens just got a whole lot bigger with a full week of community engagement, rugby revelry, dining, and entertainment in store.

Whether you were lucky enough to get tickets or not, there’s a scrumfull of entertainment to be enjoyed outside of the Hong Kong Stadium this April. Hong Kong Rugby Union (HKRU) has organised a week-long programme of fun with opportunities to try rugby, meet the stars of the Sevens, and enjoy all of the music, and food and drink that has made this the world’s greatest rugby party.

This year’s HKSEVENS Central festival has been expanded to a full week of activities, from Monday to Sunday, 3 to 9 April.  Chater Garden will once again be transformed into a mini Hong Kong Stadium with a purpose-built rugby pitch, rugby skills games and competitions, and official merchandise booths. There's entertainment day and night and after kick-off, Chater Garden promises to be the best place outside of So Kon Po to watch the action with a ‘Sevens in the City’ viewing party featuring continuous real-time coverage from the Stadium on giant screens accompanied by live rugby commentary. HKSEVENS FanWalk

Over the Rugby Sevens weekend (Friday, April 7 to Sunday, April 9), Lee Garden One in Causeway Bay will be transformed into a rugby-themed party wonderland, the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens FanWalk. The FanWalk, which is conveniently located en route to the Stadium, is designed to give residents and visitors an international experience based on the Sevens’ theme: “Where the World Comes to Play”.
