Out of the extenuating circumstances of the pandemic, Airbnb has stepped up to the plate to wholly redefine the experience of moving away. Launching today, their “Live Anywhere” programme is an exciting initiative that will allow 12 individuals to explore first-hand the post-2020 model of long-stays in foreign countries. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allows participants to live around the world in listings exclusively on Airbnb for an entire year!
Struck by the upwards spike in stays lasting 28 days or longer, greater interest in nomadic lifestyles, as well as the improved ease of maintaining a career from remote work, Airbnb has been inspired to look for a diverse group of people who can share their experiences and insight on the emerging phenomena.
Through the programme, participants can draw upon their observations to provide valued acumen on long-term living at listed accommodations, and feedback on how to optimise spaces for specific guests’ needs whilst fostering closer relationships with the surrounding communities and their networks.
Guests will be primed with the guidance of long-term users like the Campbells, founders of The Senior Nomads, who will share expertise from their adventures in calling over 270 Airbnbs across 85 countries home.
Applications close on 30 June 2021, with interviews set for July before the chosen ones start jetting off in September. Accommodation credits and transportation fare will be settled by Airbnb, who will also provide suggestions on the best listings for you, in addition to recommendations on experiences not to be missed!
As long as you are over 18, residents of the following countries and regions—Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec), Chile, mainland China, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, and US—are eligible to enter for a chance to take part in this amazing programme. You can also bring with you up to three accompanying guests. Click here to apply and start planning!
