This year for Father’s Day, why not pull out all the stops and get Papa a swanky Maserati? If that seems slightly out of your budget, perhaps you should take him to Rosewood Hong Kong instead.
Starting from 20 June, Rosewood Hong Kong is offering a Maserati-themed staycation package, which includes a one-night stay in one of their fabulous suites. Resident dining destinations HENRY, The Legacy House, Holt’s Cafe, and Bayfare Social will prepare special feasts in honour of the main man in your life on 21 June, so he can wake up to a full day of gastronomic indulgence.
Cakes and confections are available at Butterfly Patisserie and Rosewood Hong Kong’s online shop from 12 to 21 June, perfect for a sweet surprise. Dad-centric treatments at Asaya, Rosewood Hong Kong’s in-house spa, is also offering 30 percent off on four treatments tailored for dads for the whole month of June.
From 20 June to 19 July inclusive, gift your dad with an unforgettable experience of coaxing a Maserati GranTurismo up and down the streets of Hong Kong. For four delicious hours, Dad can enjoy the gentle purr of superb Italian engineering and drive it to a scenic spot to enjoy a picnic basket courtesy of Bayfare Social, before heading back to knock back a Maserati-branded cocktail, and perhaps a few more drinks from an exclusive DarkSide menu.
Retire to the Deluxe Harbour Suite for the night, to enjoy the in-room Maserati-themed amenities before succumbing to slumber. The package also includes Manor Club executive lounge access. Rates start from $14,740 excluding service charge, and the package is subject to availability.
On Father’s Day, Dad is spoilt for choice of sustenance. For steak lovers, HENRY is offering a Father’s Day prime rib brunch with two seatings, first at 11 am to 1 pm, then at 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. Expect Fine de Claire oysters, Butcher’s shop terrine, steak tartare, and a smoked eggplant salad to start, followed by the main attraction: top-rated artisanal meats sourced from world-class farms like Brandt USDA prime rib, rotisserie chicken, pork belly, and roasted leg of lamb. Finish with chocolate fondant and cheesecake. The brunch is priced at $988 for adults and $450 for children aged 6 to 12, excluding service charge. All fathers in attendance will also receive a gift of home-cured bacon.
Alternatively, a more varied spread is offered at The Holt’s Cafe. A four-course brunch is served from 12 pm to 3 pm, featuring shared seafood dishes of Boston lobster, oysters, king crabs, and king prawns. Nibble on some Iberico ham and cheese, then savour seared scallops with asparagus and lemon butter. The next course is a choice of green pea soup, braised seafood soup, or dim sum, before moving on to the mains. Among the choices are Tournedos Rossini with foie gras, summer truffle risotto with wild mushrooms, Sichuan steamed chicken, and line-caught Typhoon shelter-style squid. Brunch is priced at $720 per person, and $360 for children aged 6 to 12, excluding service charge.
All Dads can enjoy a glass of Prosecco when dining at Holt’s Cafe on 21 June, and if they’re in the mood for more bubbly, free-flow Prosecco and beer is available at lunch for $800, and unlimited Champagne for $920.
As dinner time rolls around, tuck into sharing dishes with the family, with a choice of king crab salad, burrata with heirloom tomato, USDA bone-in ribeye with fried onion rings, braised lobster with e-fu noodles, and more. Leave with some Hibiki whisky pralines from Butterfly Patisserie, or take them home with you to savour later.
For more Asian-inclined palettes, head to The Legacy House for Shunde cuisine. In addition to the a la carte menu, you can also opt for either their six-course set lunch at $800 per person or the eight-course dinner at $1,800 per person, excluding service charge. Lunch features specialties such as wok-fried prawns flavoured with Yunnan ham and Chinese cabbage rolls with fresh crabmeat and chicken. For dinner, gourmet options like razor clams with cordyceps, wok-fried Wagyu beef with oat and black truffle, and stewed pork elbow with abalone and morels tantalise the taste buds. All fathers at lunch or dinner will be presented with a gift of premium herbal tea leaves to enjoy at home.
Upscale casual food hall Bayfare Social is offering specialty dishes just for Father’s Day, including hand-cut Angus beef carpaccio with shiso, chicken paillard with zucchini flowers, black angus ribeye and braised cheek cannelloni, and a delectable dessert of dark chocolate, smoked cream, and rum ice cream.
Take home sweet treats from Butterfly Patisserie, available in store and online from 12 to 21 June. Their signature Butterfly Kisses, fluffy marshmallows covered in chocolate and fruit gelée, is available in whisky, gin, and lemon flavours, and the pralines boxes contain confections inspired by classic cocktails like Negronis and 50/50 martinis. Other pastries and sweets are also available.
For some well deserved pampering, try booking your dad one of the four dad-centric treatments at Asaya at 30 percent off. Golf enthusiasts can go for the 60-minute Golf Biomechanics assessment, conducted by Asaya’s in-house practitioner to identify areas of weakness and inflexibility, who will then prescribe exercises to improve your swing and prevent injury, priced at $1,200. Improve your posture with a 60-minute Spinal Mobilisation Therapy session, priced at $1,260, to help loosen tight vertebrae from poor posture or old injuries. A good ol’ Deep Tissue Massage always does the trick. At $1,386, feel the tension melt away in 90 minutes of heaven. Last but not the least is the Anti-Vice treatment, a facial session using GOA products, a men’s skincare line inspired by India’s traditional skincare rituals. At $1,386, your dad will surely thank you for restoring a youthful glow to his visage. The treatments are available for purchase as gift cards as well, for the whole month of June, and will remain redeemable until 31 December 2020.
