When we think of the Mid-Autumn Festival, naturally, mooncakes come to mind. But once those mooncakes are gone and our bellies are full, what do we do with the lovely tins they came in? Is the trash really where they’re destined to go? Not anymore! Beloved cosmetics brand Lush is back with a mooncake tin recycling campaign! With every three mooncake tins you recycle at Lush, you can redeem one bath product of your choice from its fragrant and extensive bath products. Read on for more details!
When it comes to charitable campaigns, Lush is no stranger to the act of giving. As the global leading cosmetics and body care brand that actively fights against animal testing, Lush has launched numerous campaigns in support of an equally wide range of causes, from children affected by nuclear disasters to endangered orangutans and LGBTQ+ rights. It only seems fitting that Lush is addressing one of the biggest problems in our city come every Mid-Autumn Festival—the piling waste of mooncake packaging.
Lush’s mooncake tin recycling campaign runs in two parts. Online pre-registration for collection takes place from 9 to 12 September. Lush will be collecting tins from specific locations across the city. Click here for a comprehensive list of collection locations as well as the pre-registration link. You will receive a confirmation email after registering for a recycling slot, so be sure to check your email inbox’s spam folder if you don’t see one.
Mark your calendars for 1 to 4 October, as this is the product redemption period. Redemption is available only while stocks last, so be sure to claim your prize early! Customers looking to redeem a product must bring along a copy of their confirmation email and three cleaned metal mooncake tins to their chosen Lush location in exchange for a bath product of their choice. With Lush’s recycling campaign, you can enjoy an eco-friendly mooncake experience with family and friends this Mid-Autumn Festival.
