Pak Lap Bay Beach and Village

Located in Sai Kung—the back garden of Hong Kong—you can expect a pristine urban sanctuary when you arrive at Pak Lap Bay Beach. The destination itself has also earned many names in praise for its qualities. Dubbed Hong Kong’s Maldives, Pak Lap Bay’s waters are one of the clearest and most beautiful amongst the many beaches in Sai Kung.

If the vast open sea isn’t an exciting enough backdrop for you and your loved one to snap a picture, head over to Pak Lap Village! Each spring calls forth the blossoming of over 20 types of tulips in the village that forms a vibrant sea of flowers that reminds many of flower fields in the Netherlands. The houses of Pak Lap Village also stand as another popular Instagrammable spot, where village houses over 300 years of history have been renovated and painted with all colours of the rainbow in a way that is reminiscent of Brighton’s beach huts.

White Chapel, Discovery Bay

Located in the seaside resort hotel, Auberge Discovery Bay, White Chapel is another popular destination for couples looking to document their date with a few snaps. The triangular structure brings to mind the pristine countryside in Europe with its minimalistic décor and colour scheme. Paired with the stunning views from Lantau Island, you can almost hear the bells ringing for a romantic seaside wedding!

Another destination for our cottagecore lovers, On Po Village in Sheung Shui has more blooming flowers on offer. Approach a field of wild yellow chrysanthemums and be at one with nature! Although these wildflowers might not be as comparable in size to mums you might find in flower shops, but they are no less impressive when you find a perfect spot to pose.

Dr Sun Yat-Sen Museum

Hong Kong has its fair share of historical buildings, from the Ohel Leah Synagogue to Tin Hau Temple and the renovated former police station compound, Tai Kwun, these heritage sites represent Hong Kong’s rich multicultural society since the city's formal inception. The location of the Dr Sun Yat-Sen Museum is one of these historical buildings.

Built in 1914, the site’s Edwardian Classical architecture is stunning to behold, making it a perfect spot for photos. Stroll through the museum and take in the grandeur of stained-glass windows and the elegant White Hall that reminds you of the house of the Bridgertons whilst learning more about Dr Sun’s crucial involvement in Hong Kong’s history.

East Coast Park Precinct

Is your partner a skating fanatic? Maybe you met bumping heads while gliding around in the bowl? Although East Coast Park Precinct is not a skateboarding park, its vast open and vibrantly coloured space is sure to bring back memories of the moment that sparks flew. Take your boards and roll along the promenade hand in hand as the sun sets behind you over the Victoria Harbour. Alternatively, share a moment of nostalgia together as you try out the futuristic monkey bars in the park or look out for the beautiful seasonal displays at the park.
