Every year on 8 March, girls and women all over the world get together and celebrate.
On this day, women are honoured and praised for their achievements despite the obstacles they have encountered along the way. It all started when female factory workers demonstrated for shorter working hours, higher pay, and equal rights to vote all the way back in 1908 in the US.
It has, in later years, continued to be a day symbolising the leaps and strides women all over the world make to achieve equality. Read on for the best events that celebrate women in Hong Kong on this special day, so you can celebrate yourself, your BFF, your mother, your sister, and all women out there!
