Red Bull Takeover, now set on Saturday, 24 April, features two teams captained by high-profile Hong Kong sports stars: rope-skipping world champion Timothy Ho and expert fitness trainer Utah Lee. Each competitor will be asked to choose a team on the app and will need to work with their teammates to collect as many scores as possible within the three-hour time period from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Points are scored at checkpoints and according to the distance run. Runners must travel by foot between checkpoints, with the District app able to detect unusually fast speeds. Some checkpoints offer additional features and opportunities to score bonus points. Competitors are also encouraged to keep an eye out for their respective captains at the Timothy and Utah Challenge checkpoints, which will be worth even more points!
